Every batch is tested before release by a laboratory with no commercial interest in the result. Two separate analyses are run — the first measures how pure the material is, the second confirms what it actually is.
Separates the peptide from everything else in the sample and measures what proportion is peptide.
Weighs the molecule to confirm it is the peptide named on the vial, and not something else.

Common questions about peptide certificates of analysis
A peptide COA — a certificate of analysis — is a laboratory report on one batch of material, recording what the peptide is, how pure the analysis found it, the method used and the date.
A certificate published on this page carries:
- The compound and strength the sample was submitted as
- What the laboratory was asked to test for
- A results table giving the measured amount of each component
- A purity figure, where the analysis produced one
- The date of the analysis
- The issuing laboratory and its own sample reference
“COA” here means certificate of analysis. It is not coenzyme A, which is an unrelated subject.
HPLC tested means the peptide has been run through high-performance liquid chromatography — the technique that separates a sample into its parts and measures what share of it is the peptide you ordered.
That share is the purity figure. HPLC stands for high-performance liquid chromatography.
“HPLC Verified” is the grade Australian Research Peptides gives every peptide it sells, and it means the batch was assayed this way before it was released for sale.
What the test does not do is confirm which peptide you have. A sample can be almost entirely one substance and still be the wrong substance, which is the job of the second test.
Mass spectrometry confirms identity: it weighs the molecule and compares that weight with the one expected for the peptide named on the vial. HPLC cannot do that, which is why both tests are run.

Together they answer both halves of the question: how much, and of what. A report giving only one of them has left half the answer out.
Read a peptide COA in the order the document is built: check the compound and strength it names, then the result with the method beside it, then the date, then whether a purity figure is stated at all.
- Compound and strength. They should match what you are buying. A blend lists each of its components separately.
- The result and its method. A number with nothing beside it saying how it was produced cannot be checked against anything.
- The date. A report carrying none describes no particular moment.
- Whether purity is stated. Some analyses cover identity and amount only, and say so in the tests requested.

What should make you look harder:
- A result printed with no method next to it
- The same figure appearing against every product a seller lists
- A purity claim with no identity test anywhere behind it
- A number retyped into a web page in place of the report itself
- A document carrying nothing that ties it back to a sample
None of these proves bad faith on its own. Several together mean you are reading marketing formatted as a laboratory document.
The certificates here that show no purity percentage are all blends. A single figure has no meaning for a vial holding two or three peptides, so the laboratory issues none for them and none is invented.
Those analyses cover identity and amount, and say so on the document. Australian Research Peptides does not average the components together, and does not borrow the figure from one component’s single-peptide certificate to stand in for the blend. The row shows what the document shows, and no more.
Australian Research Peptides sells a batch only at 99% purity or above. That is a release specification — the floor a lot must clear before it can be sold — not a measurement that applies to every vial.
The measured result differs from compound to compound and from lot to lot, so the number worth having is the one on that batch’s own certificate. Each published row on this page prints its own figure, read from the report rather than calculated from anything.
You cannot match a certificate to a vial by a batch number, because ARP vials carry none on the label. Match by product and strength, and for the lot in a particular parcel, ask us with the order reference.
Some of the published documents also carry no readable batch field of their own, so those cannot be tied to a printed code either way. That is how the laboratory issued them, and they are left as they are rather than tidied up.

What is worth doing at home is opening the certificate for the exact product and strength you bought, and checking that it names the compound you ordered.
