Australian Research Peptides (“ARP”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

• Account & order details: name, email, shipping and billing address, and organisation where provided.
• Offer sign-ups: if you ask for a welcome code we keep your email address, the code issued to it and whether it has been used. We use it to send you that code and up to two reminders before it expires, and there is an unsubscribe link in every one of those emails. The address is kept after the code lapses so the same offer is not issued twice.
• Payment information: we accept PayID and Australian bank transfer only. We never collect, process or store card numbers, and we use no third-party payment processor. The payment data we hold is the reference you quote on your transfer and the fact it cleared. Our payment emails also invite you to reply with a screenshot of your transfer if you would like us to match it up faster. That is entirely optional and we never require it; if you do send one it is held in our email account alongside the rest of that conversation, and we ask you not to include your account number, BSB, balance or any login details.
• What you search for: when you run a search on this site we record how long the search was — short, medium or long — and, in most cases, the words themselves. See What we record when you search below, which sets out exactly what is kept and for how long.
• Counts of how pages are used: how many times a product page was opened, an item was added to a cart, a filter was used or an FAQ answer was expanded, on a given day. These are running totals and nothing else. They are not attached to your name, your order, your device or any identifier, and no two of them can be linked to each other.
• Your internet (IP) address: our systems see it whenever your browser makes a request, and we use it to limit how often forms can be submitted so the site cannot be flooded. It is stored only as a scrambled value that cannot be read back as an address, and those records are short-lived.

What We Record When You Search

Searching is how we learn what people are looking for and cannot find, so it is worth being exact about what is kept.

• Every search adds one to a count of how long the search was — short, medium or long.
• The words you typed are kept only if they contain no numbers and no “@”. Anything carrying either — an order reference, a postcode, a phone number, an email address — is dropped by your own browser and never reaches us. The search is still counted, without the words.
• What is stored is a running total: the word or phrase, the date, and how many times it was searched that day. Nothing sits beside it — no name, no email, no order, no cart, no device or browser details, no location, and no identifier of any kind, not even an anonymous one. Two searches cannot be told apart or put in order, so nothing recorded this way can be traced back to you or joined up into a picture of one person.
• We keep it for no longer than 90 days. Much of it goes sooner: a word or phrase searched fewer than three times in total does not appear in our reporting at all, and is deleted around a fortnight after the last time anyone typed it.

One honest limit, so you can judge it for yourself. The test above looks for numbers and “@” symbols — it does not, and cannot, recognise personal information. A search made only of ordinary words, such as your own name or something about your health, can therefore be recorded as words. It would sit as a phrase and a count with nothing attached to it, and it would be deleted under the rules above, but we would rather say so plainly: please do not type anything personal into the search box. If you need to tell us something about yourself, use the contact details at the end of this policy instead.

Cookies and Browser Storage

Your cart, your light or dark preference and whether you have already seen our welcome offer are saved by your own browser on your own device. Your cart is stored locally in your browser and is not transmitted to us until you place an order. One cookie keeps our own staff signed in to the admin area, which is not part of the customer site.

If you reach us by clicking one of our advertisements, your browser also stores a small cookie recording which advertisement brought you here: the reference code the advertising platform placed in the link, the campaign wording we wrote, the page you landed on, and the date you arrived. It is set by this website and read only by this website, and it is not sent to any advertising or analytics company. Nothing about you is in it. There is no name, no email address, no postal address, no order details, and no identifier that would let us or anyone else recognise you on another site. What it lets us do is see which advertisements lead to orders, so we stop paying for the ones that do not. It is deleted after 90 days, and you can clear it sooner through your browser settings. If you arrive any other way — a search result, a link, or typing our address — it is never created at all.

We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this website. It records the pages you visit, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device and browser you used, and it sets two cookies on your browser to recognise a return visit. It is operated by Google, which processes this information on servers outside Australia. Google states that it does not store your IP address for Google Analytics.

What we never send to Google: your name, your email address, your postal address, your phone number, or anything you type into a form. Google is never told who you are.

What we do send when you place an order. When you reach the payment page we send Google a record of the sale: your order reference, the products and quantities on it, and the total. That is how we count which products actually sell. It carries none of the personal details above — but it is honest to say that it does connect that browser to that order reference, because counting a sale is not possible otherwise.

And once more when your payment arrives. Because we take bank transfer rather than card, nothing tells us at checkout that you have paid — a person checks the bank, sometimes days later. When they confirm it, we send Google a second record so that what we count as a sale is money that actually arrived rather than an order that was merely started.

We store one Google identifier with your order. Google Analytics gives your browser a random identifier of its own, in one of the cookies described above. We keep a copy of it on the order so the two records can be recognised as the same sale rather than two. It is not a name and it is not readable as one — but it is an identifier held alongside your order, so it is listed here rather than left implied. If you block cookies for this site, no identifier exists and none is stored.

You can opt out entirely: block cookies for this site in your browser settings, install Google’s own opt-out browser add-on, or use any ad or tracker blocker. The website works normally either way — nothing here is required to browse, search or place an order.

You can clear or block this storage through your browser settings; the cart is the part that will stop working if you do. If we add a further analytics or advertising provider, we will say so here before it goes live.

Sharing of Information

We share information only with service providers who help us operate — payment processors, shipping carriers, and IT providers — under confidentiality obligations. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information where required by law.

Data Security

We use industry-standard measures including SSL encryption and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information at every stage.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfil orders, provide support, and meet legal obligations, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised. Search wording and usage counts are kept on the shorter timetable described above — no longer than 90 days for anything you typed. An address given for a welcome code is kept with that code so the same offer is not issued twice, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Children

Our website and products are intended for qualified researchers and are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
